They claimed as one of the largest download network. It proved from their very Low alexa rank (1353), with very impressive site stats, current stats when I visit the site are like these:

Is that true? well I never try this site, but I found there are bunch of Complaints or scam report to this downloadweb org connecting site.

The Better Business Bureau issued an important scam alert Thursday, cautioning enterprises and buyers about an email that looks like it is from BBB, with the topic line “Complaint from your customers.” The email is fake, Better Business officers expounded. They suggested PC users to pay no mind to its contents and remove it straight away. For those that have clicked on a link in the email, the bureau recommends them to run a full pathogen scan.

The emails have return addresses that BBB doesn’t use and it’s signed with the address of the Council of Better Business Companies , the nation’s office of the BBB system. The email contains a link to a non-BBB internet site. BBB is working with law enforcement to figure out its source and stop the fake campaign.

6 folk have been detained over a £1m online phishing scam in which cash was robbed from the hacked bank accounts of lots of scholars. Scotland Yard stated that a criminal network focused scholars on govt loan schemes, conning them into disclosing their checking account details, which were then used to withdraw amounts of between £1,000 and £5,000 at a time. A twenty-six year old man and a twenty-five years old lady were captured in Manchester, a twenty-five year old man was caught in Deptford, south London, a 49 years old girl and a 31 years old man were held in Stratford, north-east London, and a 38 years old man was restrained in Bolton.

Recently BBB has received reports lately about an email scam concerning Facebook.

The e-mail alleges to be from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and announces you are the winner of a million-dollar Facebook sweepstakes. The e-mail is a scam and it’s had a suspicion that it’s being employed to deliver spyware onto consumers’ PCs. As a consequence, BBB warns anyone that receives it to avoid clicking any links and to remove the e-mail instantly.

Apart from the utilisation of Facebook to draw shoppers in, the email scam brings with it many common red flags : purchasers are being emailed out of the blue, they are being asked to click suspect links to “claim a prize,” and there’s regularly an explicit requirement for confidentiality, also. Should you receive an e-mail like this, you can report it to the Net Crime Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov.

Cleverest Facebook scam – This Facebook Login Scam Threatens Users to Delete Account

Well, this is not new Facebook Scam, it happened about ten days ago. Many big sites claimed that this Facebook Login scam is the “Cleverest” one. This fake facebook Threatens Users to Delete Account, stole their critical data, etc.

The phishing scam comes in the guise of an email claiming to be from Facebook, and is convincing as it mimics security procedures utilised by many web sites to stop naughty behavior online, or protect from web trolls. The message, which is naturally NOT from Facebook, alerts the user that they have violated Facebook policies by insulting or aggravating other Facebook members, then asks for private login and money info, and parts of their card numbers. Users are warned that if they don’t comply inside twenty-four hours, their accounts will be deleted.

As Facebook itself says on its security page:

Spammers and scammers sometimes send phony emails that have been made to look like they’re from Facebook or another reputable website. These emails can be very convincing, and the “From:” field can even be spoofed to include “Facebook” or “The Facebook Team.”

If an email looks strange, don’t click on any of the links in it, and delete it from your inbox immediately. Be especially wary of emails that ask you to update your account, tell you to open an attachment, or warn you to take some other urgent action.

“The emails are entirely bogus,” says Lisa Vaas on Sophos’ Naked Security blog. “The scams are, in fact, designed to steal credit card numbers and social media accounts, likely in order to further spread scams and bilk victims.”

As pointed out by Hoax-Slayer, scammers can use the ill-gotten information to hijack a user’s Facebook account. Then, posing as the account holder, the criminals can send out more scam messages and spam to a victim’s Facebook friends, bolstered by the trust users place in their friends.

Once a criminal has gained access to a victim’s account, they will likely lock out the original account holder by changing account passwords and email addresses. With the credit card information, fraudsters can conduct identity theft and other malicious financial activity.

Nomorerack is the net shopping destination for people that need quality brand named garments and accessories for as much as ninety percent off retail!no more rack provide an awesome spread of extraordinary real designer goods, amazing products and cool hot items thru exciting short term daily bargains. That is the nomorerack owner said in their site. And How about the report from their customers? Are all got a good experience? Are the site got Zero Complaints? Is the company never scam or cheat people?

Well I don’t think so, No More Rack official site is look like professional site. They are Verified Paypal, McAfee Secure, and Authorize.net Verified Merchant. But are those enough to guarantee that the site is not cheat or scam people?

I read some complaints report from their customers, just see some of them below:

“I ordered from nomorerack.com on Jan 14th and Jan 21st, and they charged my credit card on those dates. I just received my credit card bill on Jan 31st with these charges, and yet they haven’t even shipped the items I ordered yet! Is this legal? “

I spent hours on this site waiting for the cyber Monday door busters. The site crashed when time for the Big sale and when it came back up, all the door buster were sold. How is that possible if the site was down? Its really little more than clearing house site if you ask me. Close out items etc. I did buy a item but used pay pal, no way I would give them any credit card info.

The web site can not handle the traffic when the new sale period begins. This is evident on the user end, with page after page of ‘not available’ or ‘server error’ messages. In addition, I’m certain that only a precious few of the so-called ‘insanity deals’ are available, which are obviously used as bait to lure customers into a purchase of other items, most of which are readily available on other web sites, such as Amazon, for similar prices. This activity borders on fraudulent and is certainly unethical.

I went to purchase the iPad 2 on sale at about 10:45am for $43.20 see http://www.nomorerack.com/daily_deals/view/51819-apple_ipad_2 and when I went to purchase it said Product Selection is out of stock but the main sale screen shoed it available. This is not fair business. If its sold out then it should say it is as did other “insanity Deals”. This is FRAUD.

One of scamortrue.com site user want to know whether nutrovita.com is scam or legit product because she interested to purchase vitamins and health nutrition from this health online store.

Well I can’t say that nutrovita is scam or not, because I never bought health product from them. But I just got some answer from other review site which shared review on nutro vita.
